I’m an assistant professor with extensive experience in laboratory trials. I have a great passion for Biology and applied sciences. I have over ten years of laboratory experience and three years of teaching experience. I have PhD degree in physiology. I’m a member of Biotechnology unit at Animal Health Research Institute (AHRI), Researcher at Animal Health Research Institute (AHRI), Egypt from Jan. 2012 till now. Educate 3rd-grade veterinary medicine students about new and challenging physiology concepts in the online summer course from Jun. 2020 till Sep. 2020 The media spokesperson for AHRI Ismailia lab. From Sept. 2021 till now. Held workshops to make learning practical and fun, which raised the participation level for graduates and also, resulted in better average grades for the students. Educate 3rd-grade veterinary medicine students about laboratory biosafety and biosecurity concepts in the summer course from Jun. 2021 till Sep. 2021 Educate 3rd-grade veterinary medicine and science students about laboratory biosecurity concepts and the applications of spectrophotometer in the summer course from Jun. 2022 till Sep. 2022. Head of Spectrophotometer unit in the Chemistry department in AHRI Ismailia lab. from July 2022 till now.
I came to the realization that I wanted to teach biology and physiology while I was in college. The more I have learned about and experienced teaching, the more I know I want to be a teacher. I want to teach biology in particular because I want to give students an understanding and appreciation for the environment and all the living things in the world around them. More generally, I want to help students acquire knowledge and the ability to evaluate that knowledge to form their own opinions and decisions. I prefer a learning centered approach to teaching where the emphasis is placed on the student. While understanding certain facts and concepts is fundamentally important in understanding biology, I do not want students to leave my classes in the summer course or workshops with only a few facts memorized that they will soon forget. I want to give them a chance to learn the process of science by planning and carrying out experiments as well as evaluating the research of others. I want my students to learn general skills such as data analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication through writing, giving presentations, and participating in group work. I also take my role as an advisor and mentor seriously. I hope my students will gain increased self-confidence and enthusiasm for biology after interacting with me.
